Paris Themed Birthday Cake

Evening everyone! 

How are we all doing? 

I've just finished going through all the posts, seeing as half of them had photo's missing! Can you believe it, no? Me neither!

Anyway, I don't have many more updates to give you all, well, I do but I will do them all in a batch post. You will all soon see!  For now I will grant you the access to view some of the last cakes that I have recently done, there are three but will all be posted in separate posts (They need their glory! Haha) 

And here we have it! The two tiered, Paris themed birthday cake. I really did enjoy making this cake so much and for once I wasn't really stressful, Hoozah! It was great and so fun!

Now to the specifics: The bottom layer was a Funfetti cake with vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam sandwiched together, the top tier is chocolate cake sandwiched together with chocolate buttercream. 

The bottom layer was then covered in white sugar paste and the top in mint green. Emerald stripes of sugarpaste we're placed around the bottom tier, whilst emerald polka dots we're placed around the top tier. 

Using modelling paste, I created one large pink rose to sit on top, and four little white roses to be placed on top of the bottom tier. I made silhouettes out of black sugarpaste and placed them inbetween the emerald stripes. Making the black stand out more on the white background. 

Last but not least, there's an Eiffel Tower stuck on top, constructed out of Rice cripsies and covered with many layers of white chocolate and then green. We then placed black and white ribbon around the base of each cake to make it look even more pretty, and pinned them in with a pearl coloured bobby bin (Don't worry, it was brand new, not used for anything else and sterilized first) 

I really enjoyed making this cake, especially the silhouettes, I just love them!  I really liked how it looked and everything. It was a surprise for the customer as her partner had bought her tickets to go away to Paris for the weekend and surprised her with her birthday cake! How wicked is that! Very happy to be a part of it.

Back Log Update

Evening everyone!..Or Morning, whichever way you wish to look at it!

Hope you're all okay and had a fab day? We're still in the baking process, so I thought I would do a little blog post (with a little bit of back log, but remember! Not much back log, I did inform you all, do remember that!) 

I should do this more often shouldn't I? More fun and it's still as fun as my book review page, except I'm always baking! Nothing stopping me from popping a post on whilst things bake! 

So without further ado! 

Above on the left we have our Chunky-Dunk Shortbread! Lovely and crunchy on the outside, but soft and buttery on the inside with a sprinkle of sugar, plus there thick slices of shortbread and not thin! Perfect. 

On the right we heave some hearty Nutella muffins, these we're later covered in big helpings of Nutella but I sadly couldn't get a pic quick enough, as they all got eaten! 

Some cute, teeny, tiny flower sugar cookies! Perfect for something to nibble on or a mini snack! It made LOADS! (They we're small though!) 

Here we  have some 'Stained glass' Sugar cookies! I loved making these as a kid and still love making them now! Beautiful to make as decorations for the tree at Christmas or even just to bake and hold up near a window (Like I did, as you can see) Reminded me of my childhood, even though I'm not that old, but you get what I mean! ;)

I'm Back!

Hi Everyone! 

As the title says, I'm back! Did you miss me? 

Sorry i've not been on here for a while, a close family member passed away so we've been kind of kept busy or distant you might say. But I'm back now, slowly getting back into things, god job I have my baking ey? (Bit of Sheffield for you there haha) 

I'm currently typing this up on the Mac and honestly, I prefer using my windows laptop, they keys on the board are a bit meh, whereas the ones on my laptop (Lappy) are much speedier and free to move! 

Anywho! There has been some things happening since the last time I posted but not much, when I say that I mean there isn't a lot of back log - Which is GREAT! So onwards and upwards with the updates! 

So here is the second rose I ever made for college, it was supposed to go on my cake but I gave it to my Nan :') Which she loved, I wanted to give her the first ever roses that I made, but sadly she might not of been here when I would get my moderation date. 

Speaking of Moderation! It's in May! May!! Ahh I can't believe I finish my first year soon, god that's gone so quick even to say it's one lesson a week, it's still gone super quick. I will be sad to go. But when it's my last lesson, I shall do a post with EVERYTHING I have made in that year, which will  be good as I can see my progression.  Don't worry though, I'll be doing level 2 and 3!

So yeah, that's my rose! I've been looking forward to making these for a while, I'm still not perfect with them but I'm getting there, love making them though, it's so relaxing! 

Another thing from college that I made was Mike Wazowski! I mean look how cool he looks! Doesn't he just look fab? 

I love him to pieces and enjoyed making every bit of him, it was great fun and a new thing I learnt. I will attempt to make Sully one day! Plus Monsters Inc. Is my favourite film in the whole wide world an love it to bits! Would love to make a little Boo - Sugarpaste that is! Haha

More posts to come soon, may be a little bit of a spam - Only a small one! But I will try my best to keep them down.

For All Your Information

Hi Everyone, please read the below message:

Just to let everyone know things may seem to get a bit quite in the next few weeks, so there may not be much posting going on through either sites or pages. But I will let you know when I'm back up to scratch. I don't want any of you to think I'm ignoring you or just can't be bothered to post because that is not the case. Going through some things at the moment but will be back. 

There may be some little posts from time to time but not as much, we're not going anywhere though, so please be patient with us, we're still here, we are NOT shutting down the page or anything, just a brake. I will however post the rest of my college work in the folders.

Happy Valentine's Day! ❤ ❤ ❤

How're you lovely lot doing today? I hope you're all doing well? 

We're not doing much over here at Sprinkle, Sparkle and Magic, Sam and I have decided to get each other cards and that's about it haha, but we're happy doing our own thing. Him on guitar and me updating all the lovely sites, I'm going one day at a time, that's 

how I've decided to tackle it! 

Here are the little Valentine's Day treats that we're made :) Chocolate shortbread cookies sandwiched together with Banana milkshake flavoured buttercream, then rolled in pink love heart sugar sweets. So Cute and yummy! They're based around the chocolate foam banana sweets!

We also made this loaf of Poppy-seed bread, I decided to score it this time and I'm so that that I did and I feel it looks so much better! Tasted lovely toasted with a lovely slab of butter melting away on top! Yummy! :P 

Sadly, I forgot to take a pic of the bread after I took it out of the pan (and before Sam got his hands on it!) But I'm very happy with it.

Hi You Guys!

Hi Everyone!!

So far it has taken me about two hours to even get to this stage to updating the page, I know I'm sorry! I'm being distracted by the Rock Of Ages soundtrack <3 Can't fault old rock music though haha. 

I will be updating shortly, I also have to update the Facebook page and I still need to write three book reviews on my book blog. Which if anyone is wondering, you can find here ---> Tink's Books Reviews

In other news, there is currently a loaf of poppy seed bread rising in the corner. Which will soon be going into the oven and the flour in the air is making me sneeze! But it's all good and I'm having a nice relaxing time tonight, I do love baking bread though. So much!

So I will be doing some posts soon, but I thought I would let you know that it may come as a bit of a spam to the people who read this blog so I'm sorry! But I will do them all in block posts not single ones so it saves some spamming :)

February Update!

Hey everyone!!

How are we all this fine evening?  

Once again I am terribly sorry for not posting much on this blog, I'm everywhere else on social media, just not on here and I want to be on here a lot more!

So, starting from today! Yes, today! I will be posting frequently, every so many days. And if I don't you can all hunt me down on social media (Just look for sprinkle sparkle and magic and you shall find me!) and spam me to tell me to get my butt back online! 

Anyhow! Yep, this is me! In bed at this hour, I'm not tired, or  ill, I am just simply really really cold right now haha

I promise, I will get some updates online and the photo album sorted out too and all the other stuff that needs to happen! I will set up a separate page for all things college too! :O I know, I'm getting quite shocked myself with all these promises!!

For now, I shall leave you all too it, to have a nosey or just to have a wonder around my page. Be sure to check out the updates in the days / weeks to follow and anything new that is happening with Sprinkle, Sparkle and Magic. 

In my life recently if none of you are aware, many cakes have gone off since I last posted on here. I have been at college as always, enjoying every minute of it. I recently got two jobs, both are 0 hours, though I did one shift at the first one and didn't like it one bit! So with the help from my lovely Sam, I decided to leave it, no point staying in something that you don't enjoy. 

The second job that I have stayed with, I enjoy very much! I am at a little Cafe and I love every minute of it, they don't mind that I am at college (The other job wanted me to stop going!! Can you believe it, stop following my dreams!) Anyhow, the cafe don't mind one bit and want me too! Working in Cafe will be great again plus it gives me more experience for the future and I get to be around cakes! Woo!
